



Yes. Only players who are Southern California residents, U.S. citizens, and active members of the SCGA are eligible for Team California.
Players must be 13 years old by Jan. 1 on the they will represent Team California and cannot have reached their 19th birthday July 31st. Juniors 18 years and younger and enrolled in college are not eligible.
Team California (Southern California) will be named in late Dec./early January each year. Team members will participate in Team California programming and benefits. Players must earn their way onto the team each year.
Once an athlete commits to Team California, they can expect to receive team gear, invitations to state camps at elite facilities, potential team selection for various events, as well as support and mentorship from the Team California staff and access to other resources as needed.
Yes! Once named to Team California, athletes are a part of the USNDP for the following calendar year. The USNDP will provide benefits and recognition to Team California participants. These benefits may include recognition on the USGA/USNDP website and social media, expedited USNDP grant program access, exemptions to local AJGA events, invites to future USNDP camps and access to the official USNDP statistical platform. No. The National Junior Team will be for a select and relatively small number of athletes compared to the number of athletes on State Teams. Selection criteria and process for selection to the National Junior Team is currently being developed by the USGA.
No, members of the National Junior team are not eligible to be on the state team.
