The SCGA Players League is a team-based league designed for teams representing their member club to compete against other member clubs at scratch. Group winners will meet in the SCGA Players League Championship. Two teams from Southern California and two from Northern California will advance to compete in the California Players League Championship.
Groups are comprised of three, four, or five teams, and are formed on their own. The teams within the group will play one competition at each course that a team represents within the group. Each club will host one competition for their group. Those competitions may be played on any day of the week. All play is without handicaps. During a competition, each player will accumulate points based on the appropriate Players League table. Players will earn points for their team based on the position they finish within their pairing group, which will have a representative from each team.
