On volunteering: I love it. I especially love watching the young kids play golf. They are so graceful, polite, willing to compete even if nervous. I love seeing the parents encourage their kids without intimidation and be there for them when they need the support. It is a fabulous sport to gain confidence yet be humbled; learn to be polite to others, yet remain competitive; work hard at something and still love the game. I also like volunteering to be a part of something bigger than myself. I love getting to meet people, make an event successful and know I did the best I could to help.
Has golfed for: I golfed for many business events. It helped me immensely in my business- especially when my job was in a primarily male-dominated industry. I started to golf when I was younger with my parents and it brought us closer together. My dad used to make me go find golf balls on hole No. 2 if my drive went out of bounds into the corn field that ran alongside the course. He'd say, "Meet me on the green!"
